Pastel is such a beautiful medium that allows you to make beautiful skin tones. Come learn how to get proportions, correct skin tone and form. You’ll also learn how to discern the temperature changes in color to help you get a more realistic looking portrait. Register early. This is a two day workshop that allow time to complete or nearly complete your portrait. Supply list will be sent with registration confirmation.
This once a month three hour class varies from month to month. Sometimes we will work with a clothed model, a still life or our drawing lessons. Each student will have individual attention. All levels of ability welcome. You can learn to draw realistically and you will improve with your first class!

Color Theory is an essential element in art. In this intensive 3 day workshop, you will learn all about color, hue, value, intensity and temperature. You will learn how to mix colors and how to use colors. At the end of the workshop, you will have put together a full book of exercises to use as a reference tool for working in any color medium! This is by far, my most popular workshop.

You won’t want to miss this class on Saturday! Jerry-Mac Johnston will be our clothed model for the class. Drawing from life has it’s challenges, but you will have instruction along the way. Focus on the portrait or the full figure, your choice. Charcoal is the preferred medium, but feel free to use whatever you’re most comfortable using.
We will be drawing from a clothed model with short warm up studies and a longer pose. This 3 hour class is for beginners to more advanced students wanting individual instruction. Charcoal is a good medium for this class.
