Ongoing drawing classes offered every Tuesday 10 – 12 at Splatter Art Studio, 4160 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO and the first Saturday 9 – 12 also at Splatter.
Drawing is the foundation for all art. This class encompasses all levels of ability with individual lessons for each student. If you can’t even draw a stick figure, this class is for YOU!! Beginners walk through an 8 week foundation course, then proceed on to more in depth studies with their desired subjects and eventually move on to color. For those who have been painting or drawing awhile, you will learn how to take your skills to the next level. Watercolor pencils, colored pencils and pastels are used in color classes and sometimes in combination with each other. Specialty workshops offer even more in depth studies like color theory, composition, value and balance, developing a signature style, matting and framing, just to name a few. Classes held at Splatter Art Studio from 10 – 12.
First Saturday Drawing Classes
Held on the first Saturday of every month at Splatter Studio from 9 – 12. The focus of the day varies. Sometimes you will learn to draw from a live clothed model. Your choice of mediums: graphite, charcoal or pastel. Other times, we may have a focus like drawing a still life, studying value or just have an open drawing class like we do on Tuesdays. Individual instruction is always provided. Check schedule for confirmation of dates and times.
